Wonder Valley is a real place in the desert near Joshua Tree, California. Its whimsical name comes from its magical energy -- the reason why Alison Carroll and her husband moved there. Inspired by her obsession-level love and knowledge of all thing olive oil, Alison created her very own line of Wonder Valley olive oil, along with a curated online shop and, most recently, an eclectic yet chic brick-and-mortar (in an old gas station), The Wonder Valley Oil Shop.
We did an olive oil tasting with Alison way back when, long before she had her own cult-loved oil (win a bottle on Instagram today or snag a bottle of Wonder Valley olive oil here). Having spent years working in the California olive oil industry Alison knows how to get deep and nerdy on everything from farming process to flavor profiles and tasting notes.
For Alison and her husband, artist and creative director Jay Carroll (who designed the iconic Wonder Valley goddess logo) developing their own line of local, artisanal olive oil represented everything they came searching for when they moved to the desert: a simple and grounded, healthy lifestyle inspired by nature. Their product reflects those values so clearly, you can literally taste a difference.
Lauded by the wellness crowd and hardcore foodies alike, Wonder Valley now offers several incredible olive oil products (all crafted in Northern California) including a unisex face oil -- and we're into that drizzle for shizzle.
