It's a glorious time to be alive. A new "avocado bar" opening today in Brooklyn showcases our fave green fruit in all the important forms -- toasts, smoothies, salads and bowls -- and we couldn't be more excited to move in and never leave taste everything Avocaderia has to offer.
Avocaderia is the brilliant baby genius of three Italian men, one of whom tasted avocado for the first time while living in Mexico (he fell in love, obviously) and the rest is history.
It's funny to us that something as simple as an avocado can trend as hard as it has been over the past few years, but we one hundred percent get it. Whether you're too cool for this level of frenzy or are shamelessly committed and ready to snap up all the merch this new spot can throw at you, we can all agree that an all-avo menu peaks our interest.
The avocado only menu is one of the first of its kind and can be found inside the industrial space turned creative co-working wonderland, Industry City, complete with its own soon-to-be overgrammed neon signage. The guys are committed to sourcing their avocados responsibly and have teamed up with an organic, sustainable farm in Michoacán, Mexico for all their fruit.
If you live in the Big Apple, be sure to check it out ASAP - and tag your images #thechalkboardeats to share with the whole fam. If you're anywhere else, keep your eyes on Insta for the inevitable flood of FOMO inducing eye-candy from today's launch!
