How To Make A Really Good Spicy Margarita All By Yourself

It's been said that a rising tide lifts all boats. That in mind, we've noticed that the rise in wellness interest over the last few years has finally begun to have an effect on the most unlikely of places: cocktail menus.

Every girl we know is drinking one of just four things: an aperol spritz (because French girl chic), tequila and soda (because sugar), biodynamic wine (because it's cool to be a wine snob when it has to do with our health), and a clean, fresh spicy margarita. Because spicy margarita.

We asked the barmaster at one of our favorite luxury destinations in Mexico, the Four Seasons Punta Mitta, to share a simple, clean recipe for a healthy spicy margarita and he truly delivered. If, like us, you live for a poolside margarita, but dread the thought of drinking corn syrup in a bikini this one's for you. Learning to make a cocktail or two that you can serve up at home is the kind of life skill that makes us feel truly grown up. And there's no reason your cocktail recipes can't be fresh, clean...and corn free.

Looking for more cocktails to make at home? We know it's illy, but if you've been drinking celery juice daily this celery juice-based cocktail recipe is a fun one to surprise your friends with. Shake up a couple for you and a friend or multiply the ingredients and serve either cocktail in a beautiful pitcher instead...
