jena covello in miami guide

Miami has always had a reputation for being health-conscious -- endless sunny days and miles of bikini-ready beaches have that an affect on a city! Despite it's long-standing rep, we've noticed a surge in cool wellness brands like Pressed Juicery popping up in and around Florida's coolest city and asked resident wellness lover, Jena Covello to fill us in.

Jena is the founder of wellness and beauty brand Agent Nateur and splits her time between Miami, Los Angeles, and just about every other stylish city in the world by the looks of her Instagram. If you're looking for new spots to visit in Miami, plus a little glamour, Jena has you covered below!

Name: Jena Covello of Agent Nateur

Miami in a nutshell lately—what's the vibe: Miami is my peaceful sanctuary. There’s definitely a cultural shift taking place that’s geared more towards wellness and health. Miami is always happy. The vibe is light and fun. The Design District is my fave.

Where to head for matcha/coffee: Ralph’s in Aventura mall, I also love Panther Coffee, Dreamer, and Cortadito Coffee House for the best cafe con leche.

Fave wellness restaurants: I always find a healthy meal at all of these places: Milos, Makoto, Aba, Pura Vida, Mandolin, Joe’s Stone Crab, Mr Mandolin, Lido, Delicious Raw, Casa Tua… the fish is fresh and the meals are light.

Favorite beach: Setai, Surf Club, and Soho House to meet friends. Setai has the best homemade passion fruit drinks in Miami.

Beach tips: Your face will most likely burn with SPF 30 which is why I made holi (sun) with an spf of 50. Apply 50 to the face and don’t forget to reapply. I allow my legs to get sun exposure for vitamin D, but I always protect the upper and delicate parts of my body.

Go-to beach look: Hermès or Chanel flats, jean shorts, a CELINE button down shirt, The Attico bikini and Hotel Du Cap beach bag or vintage Hermès clear beach bag.

Where to stay for great design and wellness amenities: The Four Seasons Surf Club is insanely gorgeous. The pool is beautiful, and the food is great.

Amazing Miami practitioners: Oded Schneiderman for acupuncture and healing but he’s in Colorado half the time now; Jeffrey Prol at NSEV Healing & Acupuncture; Luisete Motta, Massage Therapist, specializing in craniosacral therapy— babies and adults, body work, but also an intuitive healer. Works on babies pre- and post tongue and lip tie release; Dr. Kirby Hotchner functional med doc; Dr. Bruce Eisenberg at Miami Beach Pediatrics (naturopath and pediatrician); Dr. Nelly Yefet (acupuncturist, homeopath); Dr. Theodore Herrmann holistic dentistry.

Best spas/wellness spas/mind-body experiences: The spa, massages and hammam at The Standard are incredible. It’s always one of the best massages of my life. The hot marble in the hammam is my favorite.jena covello home miami

Go-to studios/fitness spots: I work out with my L.A. trainer remotely when I am in Miami but my friends love working out with Ashli Katz.

For sustainable fashion and home shopping: Both Miami and Palm Beach have some of the best vintage furniture shopping ever. I found a lot of great things at Gillian Bryce and Sold Gallery. Also Stripe Vintage.

Best healthy-ish delivery: I always order Aba, Makoto and Pura Vida. There’s also a place called RICE Mediterranean that has good chicken kabobs that are light and healthy.

Can't miss if you're a tourist: Bal Harbour and the Design District, a walk on the beach near South of Fifth, Wynwood.

Authentic Miami finds/hotspots: Gee Beauty, the vintage furniture shopping on Biscayne near 60th Street, The Webster, The Faena, Nic Del Mar for bikinis in Coral Gables.

Inside tip as a local to those visiting: Don’t visit June through October. It’s scorching. January through March are pure bliss and absolutely heavenly.
