Just this week, actress Jennifer Aniston announced her first entrepreneurial foray into beauty. For the former Friends star, the launch has to be a major full circle moment.
In her role on Friends, Aniston famously popularized the hairstyle of the 90's, the "Rachel" -- a layered look we now know she actually disliked. Personal aesthetic aside, we're certain the actress has since made peace with the look as, ultimately, it played a strangely significant role in her status as a beauty icon.
Taking creative matters into her own hands these days, Jennifer has harnessed all that 'good hair will' into a newly launched haircare brand and we're all about it.
In a clever move that proves she and her team aren't that new to Instagram, Aniston's new brand LOLAVIE has launched just one new product -- a decision that we imagine will pay off for the actress big time: who can resist the purchase of just one intriguing product?
LOLAVIE's very first drop is the Glossing Detangler, a leave-in treatment that's vegan and formulated without silicones, sulfates (SLS/SLES), parabens, gluten, and phthalates.
We love to see so many new brands embracing clean beauty and think the Glossing Detangler sounds promising, described on their homepage as "a multitasking, lightweight spray that helps detangle, prime with a vegan thermal shield, enhance shine with lemon extract, smooth with a superfruit complex and vegetable ceramides, and protect against damage by harnessing the power of chia seeds."
It's wild to see just how many celebrity-driven brands have launched this year. The good news? Many of them are making clean, value-driven products. Will you be shopping the new haircare launch? If you were one of those girls who hit the salon for "the Rachel", we're guessing you'll find this product irresistible.
While some predict the current rush of celeb-based brands will eventually crash like the celeb perfume boon of years gone by, we're not so sure. When it comes to clean haircare and makeup, we seem to have an endless appetite for new products, brands and ideas. What do you think? Love it or leave it?
