Good design can be a game changer. One company we're mildly obsessed with is on a mission to reduce waste caused by disposable plastic bottles. Their solution is a reusable bottle so chic we can't even make eye contact with our old ones anymore.
Did you know that in 2016 over 480 billion disposable bottles were thrown away? memobottle co-founders, Jesse Leeworthy and Jonathan Byrt, designed their signature flat, rectangular bottles with a sustainability mission in mind, encouraging reuse by making it the prettiest and most convenient-to-carry option out there.
These certainly aren't the first reusable bottles ever, but we'd argue they're one of the coolest. We love the flat, easy to pack design and have been toting ours now for quite some time. The Aussie based brand is launching a second range of memobottles and accessories with a Kickstarter campaign that hit the interweb just a few weeks ago. The new products include a mini bottle that's perfect for even the smallest handbag, a few new shapes, a chic leather bottle sleeve and a metallic desk stand we're dreaming of getting our hands on.
If the sustainability-meets-design concept alone isn't enough to get you on board, know that a percentage of memobottle's Kickstarter earnings will be donated to water.org -- an organization dedicated to providing clean drinking water to those in need around the world. Until these drool-worthy new designs become official, drink up the awesomeness with the photos above...
